iPod Over the Years

iPod Over the Years

Hd Media Player

In 2001, Apple launched the iPod and since then the conveyable media gismo has been ever changed. The iPod is the ubiquitous gismo that has sold close to 250 million units worldwide. Steve Jobs' introductory idea was a conveyable media gismo that allowed you to carry "1,000 songs in your pocket". The only unlikeness is the first generation iPod was packing a wimpy 5 Gb. (Compare that to currently the iPod classic has 160 Gb)

The first generation iPod came with four buttons, a scroll wheel and a colorless screen. The four buttons at last integrated into what is now the signature click wheel design. The color screen did not come to be part of the package until the fourth generation. The fifth generation introduced the video playback option. With every new generation came an growth in quality and warehouse capacity. Currently, the "iPod Classic" is in the sixth generation with a capacity of 160 Gb.

During the time that Apple was lasting to construct the iPod conveyable media player, they started creating other iPod spawn. The first such creation was dubbed the "mini". Same interface as the big guy but in a smaller more covenant package, and agreeing to Borat..."Everyone know it's for girls". Apple didn't stop there; they continued with the mini and well made a 2nd generation about a year later. Colse to the initiate of the 2G iPod Mini, the iPod Shuffle made it's debut. Apple stuck with the tiny theme and the shuffle came out looking like a stick of gum. The tiny tiny 1g Shuffle only boasted 1Gb of warehouse but the gismo was extremely portable. Although it lacked a screen, the shuffle was very favorite at a price point. The shuffle continued to construct and currently the 3G version has a capacity of 4Gb. The mini at last turned into the Nano.

The Nano was a thin stick of chrome and plastic that set the mobile gismo society a twitter. With a warehouse capacity of 4 or 8 Gb, the Nano did not have the warehouse of the iPod Mini but what it lacked in warehouse it made up for in sleek, sexiness. At about ¼ of an inch and about 3 inches long, the nano turned heads and citizen saw what the conveyable media player of the future looked like. The iPod nano is currently in its fifth generation and has modest, but still relevant, capacity of 16 Gb. The most recent version of the Nano also has the quality to capture video, sleek rounded edges and a colorful metal body.

I have owned the 1G silver iPod Mini, a classic video iPod-Black, a 1G Nano -Black, a 4G Nano-Silver and an iPod Touch 2G and that's just me. I would not think myself wholly into what Apple has going on. I can't well stand using Macs I am a Pc all the way but I do love their media players. It is just something about the lines and sleekness they create. The devices are so cool to hold and interface with that I well say that it would be difficult to buy other brand on Pmp. I have only used Apply since 2005 and I can't well see myself using anyone but Apple for my media player needs in the future.
